2020 Mitsubishi 3000gt
It wouldn't be wrong to say that Mitsubishi is a shell of its former self, particularly when you think about some of the cars it produced in the 1990s and early 2000s. One of its finest models from that time period was the GTO, also sold as the 3000GT in some markets, and positioned as a rival to the likes of the Nissan 300ZX and Toyota Supra of the day.
Although it is very unlikely that a modern-day version of the 3000GT will ever be produced, designer Matthew Parsons has created a successor dubbed the 4000GT. It ticks all the boxes you could want from a modern-day sports car.

The car, shared online through Behance, has a rather retro design and includes a lovely mix of straight lines and curved surfaces. For example, the front end includes pronounced arches and a sloping hood. Meanwhile, the sides and rear are dominated by sharp angles.
There are heaps of cool design features across the car. These including an LED light bar in place of traditional headlights, wing 'mirrors' with small cameras, a set of massive silver and black wheels, and a pronounced rear wing with a central fin that includes a third brake light.
Given the troubles experienced by the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance in recent years, it is highly unlikely a vehicle like this would be approved for production. That's a shame because the forthcoming Nissan 400Z could serve as the perfect base for a sporty new Mitsubishi.
